Nutritional Therapy Consultations
In advance of your consultation, you will be asked to complete a confidential questionnaire which covers details about your health, symptoms, diet and lifestyle. It is important that you return this at least 48 hours before the consultation to allow enough time for your nutritional therapist to analyse it.
One to One consultation
Before your appointment you’ll be asked to complete detailed health questionnaires and a food diary, so that I can start to make significant progress at your very first consultation. We then work together to understand what your health has been like in the past and how it is now, and where we want to get you in the future. If you have any previous clinical test results, please bring them with you.
The first consultation will last 60-90min. We will discuss your wellness goal, explore any health concerns in more detail and agree a personalised programme that fits in with your lifestyle and your food preferences.
On-going support is provided in the form of nutritional information sheets, meal plans, recipes and shopping advice where appropriate. The consultation fee also includes 2 telephone calls or emails to cover any follow up questions about your programme. If you are a smart phone user, we can also use an app where you can share your food choices with me (pictures) and I can comment on them. This way you get ongoing support and motivation.
I may recommend advanced biochemical tests to help pinpoint imbalances, so that I can be more targeted with your protocol, getting you the results you want, faster.
Then we begin to join up the dots and identify root causes to explain how you are feeling.
This functional approach means that we look at you as a whole, rather than dealing with just your symptoms. By identifying and addressing imbalances, the body is given the opportunity to heal itself, unleashing and harnessing the powerful processes inherent in every one of us.
Review consultations are recommended every 4-6 weeks. These last 45 minutes and review your progress and symptoms and adapt the programme as required. Some people may require a number of review sessions, especially if they have been experiencing symptoms for several months or years.
Review sessions are scheduled as needed – most clients benefit from monthly appointments. This way you will get all the support you need, as well as assessing what is working for you and what is not.
